Poverty and other financial hardships. Homelessness. Struggling marriages. Difficulty parenting. Abuse. Abandonment. Trauma. Desperation. Crippling fear. Grief and loss of all kinds. Mental illness. Loneliness. Violence. Bad habits. Uncontrollable emotions. Lack of direction. Feeling helpless and/or hopeless. Physical illness. Shame. Compassion fatigue. Addictions. Heart wounds from past church experiences. Soul scars from people who were supposed to love you. Any of these sound familiar?

So many people in the world are struggling significantly from bearing the heavy and cumbersome burden of hardships and trials such as the ones listed above. Too many of those around us often suffer alone and in silence, feeling overwhelmed and powerless yet uncertain of where to find relief or reluctant to seek it. Despite all this, there is great hope and it is found in Jesus. There is direction and it is found in the Word of God. There is relief, and it is accessed through prayer. In 2nd Chronicles 7:14, God told Israel that they would find forgiveness and healing if they humbled themselves, prayed, sought Him, and turned from sin. In Matthew 11:28, He invites us to Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” In Philippians 4:6-7, we are promised God’s peace if we release our anxiety to Him and utilize prayer to communicate our needs and our gratefulness in the midst of all things. Matthew 6:9-13 even provides us with the Lord Jesus Christ’s prayer which includes worship, confession, petitions, and protection.

If you or someone you know is struggling, we want you to know that you are not alone. Allow us to walk with you by bringing your requests before God because we believe in the power of prayer. God is listening, and though His answers are not always yes, they are always in our best interest. Jesus taught us that all we need is the faith of a small mustard seed to move mountains, and we believe and have seen that prayer has the power to destroy strongholds. Our pastor and leaders are waiting to support you in prayer, and you can submit all your prayer requests by clicking here.

In my distress I called to the Lord; I cried to my God for help. From his temple he heard my voice; my cry came before him, into his ears.” – Psalm 18:6
